Review:

Story: This book really threw me through all kinds of emotions. There are three points of view. Each from a different side in the events taking place. It takes place in a place where unwed women who were expecting were sent. One of whom was carrying a baby who was half Jewish. It’s raw and open about everything. There’s no glamorizing about this book at all. I think that’s what made me want to keep reading. I also really loved the cover.

Characters: The three points of view are Gundi, Irma, and Hilde. I believe those were the names and how you spell them. I really related to Gundi. I wanted to like Irma and Hilde, but there were just certain things they said and felt that made me so frustrated with them. I get that they were just basically accepting the information that they were wrongly given, but still.

Critiques: None that I can think of

Final Thoughts: I fully recommend everybody that reads this book take the time to read the Author’s Note in the back. It explains the full inspiration behind the book and some facts about the real events that took place during the time period this book was written about. It is very obvious that this author did her research before fully writing out this book. It actually made the book mean more to me because of it.

Review:

This book is to help encourage people to achieve their goals and go after their dreams. It’s a very short read. There’s about ten chapters. I definitely recommend this book for anybody who feels lost and doesn’t know where they are going. Especially if they have an idea in mind, but don’t have the confidence that they can see it through. It definitely gives the reader plenty to think about.

This is the first classical novel I’ve read in a while. I also feel like I learned a lot about a religion that I’m not familiar with. I’d love to do more research on it thanks to this book. I took the time to read a different story each day. That way I could fully enjoy the entire book. I’m glad I did it that way. It made the book that much sweeter for me. I may go back and get this in audiobook just to listen to it. There are some words that I wasn’t sure that I pronounced properly.

Review:

Story: This is the last book in this series that is out. There are most likely more that will be coming. At least I hope there’s more. I’m so not ready to leave this world yet. I really enjoyed this book. There were little nuggets of clues of something major that’s coming. That’s another reason I know that this isn’t the last book in the series. I will be ready to buy the rest of this series the moment they are released. Out of all eight books that are out, this has to be the most suspense filled one. I loved every moment of it!

Characters: I’m not fully sure how I feel about Dagger. I mean I don’t dislike him. I’m not exactly a fan of him either. I adored Bethany though. An author being represented! Brilliant! I also loved that there is a part that says she went traditional published but wished that she had stayed indie. I love the nod to all indie authors out there with that little quip.

Critiques: Would wanting the next book count? Because I really want it…..

Final Thoughts: This is one of those books that are like there are no pages left. None at all. WHY??? I’m not just spitting platitudes when I say that the moment I find out about the books in this series are released, they will be bought by me. Immediately. When I started this series, I thought it would be a cute little series to pass the time. I never fully expected to become hooked on it. I never expected to fall for all of the characters. I’m glad I did though. I really hope to find others who read  these so I can have a full on conversation with them about them.

Review:

Story: I wasn’t really into this book at first. I was really putting serious consideration into setting it down. Maybe even giving my copies of this and the sequel to my mom. Something told me to keep trying. I wound up buying the audiobook and giving it an open and honest second chance. I’m glad I did. This is a very unique and twisted story. Just when you think things are calming down, BAM! It’s all move move move again! I can’t wait to dive into the second book! I wound up getting it in audiobook as well.

Characters: Serena is a very complex character. I mean at times it seems she’s kind of a damsel in distress. Then other times she’s a take no ish kind of girl. Bryson is her best friend. He’s a genius computer hacker with an eidetic memory. These two make such a great team! I love the dynamic between the two of them.

Critiques: There were parts that were rushed and other parts that jumped a little too much for my liking.

Narration: The narration itself was really great. It was really obvious that the narrator really got into the story. The only issue I really had was the hollow sound. I know that there really shouldn’t be any background noise in audiobooks, but sometimes I think that narrators take a bit too much noise away. It just gave a creepy factor for me. Maybe that was done on purpose. Who knows?

Final Thoughts: This was a real lesson to me. Give a book a couple of chapters before making a final decision. It may be a really great book that you’re throwing to the side. Some books just have slow starts. And that’s okay. I wouldn’t say this is at the top of my favorites list. I would read it again though.

Review:

Story: I wanted Frisco to have her own story. I was legit going to pitch the idea to the author to get her put into a story. I obviously hadn’t read this story at the point of my thought. And no. This review does not state that I’m great friends with the author. I’m pretty savvy with social media. I know how to search people and send them a message. Just saying. However, this is a book review. I’ll leave it at that. At the point of reviewing this book, I’ve already read all eight that are released. So I can legitimately say that this one is currently my favorite one. It has a more raw and emotional feel than the rest did. And that’s saying a lot.

Characters: The dynamic that Wrench and Frisco had since the very beginning is a very interesting wonder. I can’t really explain why I was so intrigued by the pair. Maybe it’s just how they seamlessly seemed to match each other despite the fact that it’s not really something either of them wanted. I was a little sad that she and Vega were on the outs in this book though.

Critiques: Ummmm I’m not in this world? (Meant to be cheeky)

Final Thoughts: Have you ever started reading a series and you liked it okay? You weren’t in love with it. Nothing really jumped out at you. Then suddenly it’s a day or two later and you’re four or five books deep into it and find yourself thinking about the series even when you’re not reading it? Yeah that became this book for me. And it was this book that I became aware of it.

Review:

Story: This is going to be a hard review to write. Not because I had any issues with this book. I absolutely loved it. I just really don’t want to give spoilers. There’s a thing that happens in another book that comes to light in this book. I’m just going to leave it at that. It’s so great how with every one of these books I get to know everybody a little more. The focus is on two people in every book, but you still get a glimpse of the entire crew. I love it. It gives me a wonderful glimpse of how they work as a unit. It’s really beautiful.

Characters: This book introduces a new character. Well, I guess every book pretty much does, but this one introduces a character that is familiar. I’ll just leave it at that. I am really happy to have gotten to know Romeo in this one.

Critiques: None

Final Thoughts: I can’t tell you the reaction I had when something happened. If I had seen it coming, I’d of recorded it so the author could see just how I reacted. Then again, had I known, I don’t think the response would have been completely genuine, but I digress. I really enjoy this book. I shouldn’t be too shocked. I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series. I’m a sucker for a sassy female.

Review:

Story: This one is one that kind of semi hit home for me. In a way. I don’t have the following that big, but who knows. It could happen. I don’t talk about it often, but I have dealt with a stalker in my past. It didn’t get to a level where I had to get the cops involved, but that didn’t make it any less scary. Books like this remind me just how lucky I got. How worse it could have been. Which means that I will probably read this book over again a few times. If it ever gets turned into an audio, I’ll probably have it in my to fall asleep to rotation.

Characters: Bones was almost on my nerve factor. He isn’t quite as bad as Tabor, but he pushes the line. That being said, I at least understood where he was coming from. As stated earlier, I kind of related to Conlyn a bit. The only differences are I don’t have as big of a following and I’m not quite as meticulous as she is about cleanliness. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Critiques: None

Final Thoughts: With a series that takes place in a world that I really don’t know too much about, I didn’t really expect to relate to any of these stories or characters. I have related to every single one. I have felt what the characters feel in every single one. In this one more than the others. There were parts that drove me nuts. I wanted to grab both of them and lock them in a room together, but I won’t go into details. I still adored the story. It was intense! Also, I guessed right. That’s all I’m gonna say. I’ll just be smug about it.

Review:

Story: I can’t believe I’m halfway through this series. Well at least currently. The author may add more books to the series. Who knows? I have basically devoured the books in this series. I’ve read these four books in just two days. I’m still in shock that I’ve managed to do that. This has got to be my favorite so far in the series. Even though there’s a part that I kind of want answers to. For closure purposes. It doesn’t kill the story without it though.

Characters: I feel like everybody pretty much played a part in this book. I really feel like I got to know more of the crew in this book than I have the first three books. Maybe it’s designed that way on purpose. I can say that I’m looking forward to getting to know them even more as this series continues.

Critiques: Nothing.

Final Thoughts: It was while reading this book that I have discovered that I might be becoming addicted to this world and the characters in it. I want to see how everybody is doing. I want to hear more about the children. I want to see the businesses thriving. I want to hear more about the rest of the town. I want to see how well the MC fits in in the town. I think I’ve proven my point. This is still my current favorite of this series so far. I do have four more books to read, so we will see if that remains true by book eight.

Review:

Story: I was kind of worried about continuing the series with how the last one went. I didn’t care for it at all. It wasn’t enough to set it down, but it almost got there a few times. Anyways, this review is about Wick. It’s not about Tabor. I really enjoyed this book very much. It didn’t got at all the way I thought it was going to. I also felt like it was a bit more fast paced than the first two. I could be wrong on that. It’s just how I feel. I was so worried that it was going to go a certain way. I was glad it didn’t go that way though.

Characters: I really liked Wick in the second book. He was one of the reasons that I continued to read book two. I’m not saying that Brandi is a bad person, but she did make all the wrong choices. I can’t say I’d be any better in her shoes though. I’d have loved to see more of the other characters in this one. Especially the nurse.

Critiques: None

Final Thoughts: Every book I read seems to be better than the last. These are some short and fast paced reads. Some are full of spice, and some are not. It’s kind of like a very wonderful mixture. The main focus is on the story. I’ve already read book four before writing this. I will have a review up for that one as well.
