An Impromptu Readathon (I’m Sick)

All week long I’ve been under the weather. I feel way better than I did earlier this week, but I’m still weak. I keep a reading schedule. Due to being sick and not feeling like reading, I fell behind on that. So, today I’ve been reading most of the day. It’s been a very relaxing and nice day. It occurs to me that I may have turned it into a readathon. I liked that thought so much that I may extend it to tomorrow.

For those of you who don’t know, I absolutely love readathons. I look forward to them. I used to be a part of a group that did three a month. I miss it. I just failed the group. But that’s another story. I’d honestly prefer not to talk about it.

I’d like to go ahead and look into readathons that go on next year. I’m not sure about participating in any more this year. I might if I can, but we’ll see. If anybody knows of readathons going on next year, please let me know about them. Thank you in advance!

Well, that was how my Saturday was! Is everybody ready for Christmas (that celebrates it). I’m not. I don’t have the money to buy anybody gifts. I probably won’t be able to buy the food for a special dinner. Who knows? It was a rough summer and fall, but things are finally looking up!

I might do a personal readathon for Christmas Eve and Day! Anybody is welcome to join me if they’d like to! I’ll make blogs about my progress if that’s something people would like to see. I’ll find a way to make a group if a few people show interest!

Thank you for reading.

Closing Survey (*Tears*)

How would you assess your reading overall?

I know there are many people who probably read multiple books. I may not have finished a book, but I made great progress! I’m very proud of my progress.
Did you have a stategy, and if so, did you stick to it?

I didn’t really have a strategy. I did have a schedule. However, I fell asleep during audiobook hours. I wound up making it work though! 🙂
What was your favorite snack?

Goldfish!!!!! Love them!
Wanna volunteer for our next event?

I would. I’d volunteer for all future events if I’m wanted!!!

*Takedown Twenty: 69 Pages

*One Plus One: 79 Pages

*The Book Thief: 161 Pages

*Dear Maude (Audiobook): 293 Pages (So far. Listening to this until the VERY LAST MINUTE)

Total Pages: 602 Pages

Opening Survey (Dewey’s Readathon)

1)What fine part of the world are you reading from today? And what time is it where you are?

I am reading from Georgia!!!! I’m a Southern Peach! I live on EST time. It’s currently 20:20.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

I’m actually winging it this readathon. I’m still suffering from post book convention funk. I am starting The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I also plan to read a little bit of Taketown Twenty by Janet Evanovich and One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. My audiobook to start with is Dear Maude by Denise Liebig

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Oreos and Milk

4) Do you have a #reversereadathon plan of attack?

Taking advantage of the overnight hours to read read read!!!! (Oh wait I do that anyways)

5) Are you doing the readathon solo or with others?

Sadly, I’m doing it solo. I’d love to have people near me who I can read with. Besides my mom. I love her dearly but readathons are over her head a bit.

Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon

So, I’m not sure how many of you participate in readathons. I do. I absolutely love them. It’s how I get my rush. Well those and reading sprints. But I’m getting off topic! There’s a fabulous readathon sponsored by Dewey’s . Instead of being held from 8 AM to 8 AM like it normally is, they are doing it from 8 PM to 8 PM. I’m excited for this, but I’m so nervous too. I haven’t even gotten a reading list together! Anybody else participating? If so, please let me know! Tell me what your TBR pile is and what you look most forward to. I know I’m looking forward to the reading and interaction the most! To those joining the readathon and to all my fellow book lovers, happy reading!!!!!
