Readathon News: AYearAThon and Monthly Readathons

Disclaimer: These Readathons are not owned or run by me. I find them by searching the month and year on Google. My main source has been Little Book Owl.

Readathons This Week:

AYearAThon: This month’s theme is bench warmers. This is basically anything that’s been on your TBR list for awhile. I think I will have no problem at all with this. That’s basically my whole TBR for the rest of the year.

Monthly Readathons:

Nonfiction November 2021: I just discovered this one today. It looks really interesting. It looks like you’re counted as part of the readathon even if you only read one nonfiction book for the month. I am desperately trying to read more nonfiction. Maybe this will be helpful!
ThankfulAThon: Looks like this is a month-long readathon reading books you’re thankful for. The link provided takes you directly to the Twitter page. They have the challenges listed there. It looks like a pretty laid-back readathon.
November Readathon: This is actually a month-long readathon taking place in my group. Someone very close to me is hosting it. This will be the first readathon she’s ever hosted. Feel free to join us! We do laid back and impromptu readathons all the time!

Know of any readathons going on this week that I don’t have listed? Feel free to share! Tell me the readathon you’re most excited for!

Readathon News: Hallowseveathon

Disclaimer: These Readathons are not owned or run by me. I find them by searching the month and year on Google. My main source has been Little Book Owl.

Readathons This Week:

  1. Hallowseveathon: This takes place from October 25th-31st. I’m not really sure much about it other than there are some fun challenges and that it seems to come from the UK. The link takes you directly to their Twitter page.

Ongoing Readathons Mentioned Before:

  1. FrightFall Readathon: This will take place the entire month of October. It’s ran by Seasons of Reading. I’m familiar with their readathons. I haven’t participated in one in a long time. Maybe it’s time to correct that. Check out their page to sign up and get more info about the readathon!
  2. Gothic Readathon: This also takes place the entire month of October. From the looks of it, they are a little more “strict”. I don’t mean that in the harsh term of the word. They just have more structured reading and challenges. They do provide an extensive list of reading material to choose from. It also looks like they do a twitter chat at the end of the event. They also appear to have a movie day planned for all participants as well!
  3. Gothtober Readathon: This one also takes place the entire month of October from the looks of it. You can find plenty of information on the official Twitter page. I could be wrong about this, but this appears to be their second year hosting this readathon. If I am wrong, please correct me in the comments.
  4. HocusPocus Readathon: Another month long readathon! I bet you can’t guess the inspiration behind this readathon! It looks really quirky from what I’ve seen on the Twitter page. I also noticed that this is their fourth round! That’s amazing! From what I can see, you earn points through the readathon. There’s also a group read!

There are no WEEK LONG readathons going on this week. However, there is a weekend readathon going on this week. It’s actually one of my favorites. It’s the Off The Grid Readathon. It’s a readathon that promotes fully uninterrupted reading. You can find the information for the readathon here.

I’m not really finding any shorter readathons going on this week. There are quite a few month long readathons for October. I’ll most likely reshare them every Readathon News between now and the end of October.

  1. FrightFall Readathon: This will take place the entire month of October. It’s ran by Seasons of Reading. I’m familiar with their readathons. I haven’t participated in one in a long time. Maybe it’s time to correct that. Check out their page to sign up and get more info about the readathon!

So there you have it! Four month long readathons going on this month! It’s insane! I’m incredibly excited. I’m always excited for October reading. I try my best to always stick to scary reads during this month! Of course, if you think about it, scary is perceptive to the person in question. Some people may consider Romance scary. Just saying.
