Weekly Reading Plans: November 28th

There’s a lot on the list. I don’t plan to finish all of the books. I do plan to make progress in them. I also can’t even start some of the books until I finish others. So there’s that. I’ve already started most of these and I’m really enjoying them.

Ark of the Apocalypse

Floating Underwater

Spells Trouble

The Whispering Women

Ghost Agents

Never Ever Getting Back Together

Blood Union Part One

Malibu Burns

The Urban Boys: Discovery of the Five Senses

Mine This Winter

Deep into the Dark

The Game Cafe

Ghost Agents: Revelations

The Third Instinct

Desolation Canyon

Tudors in Love

I’d love to know what you’re reading this week!

My Birth Month!

So, tomorrow starts the month of August. I’m convinced I slept through June and July, but I digress. August is my birth month! My birthday is August 15th! I’m trying to get better on being excited for my birthday. Enjoy the moment if you will. So here we are!

I thought of trying something fun. I don’t know how this is going to pan out. I’m excited for it though. I’m going to make a list of ten reading challenges. They can be completed anytime in the month of August. Anybody is welcome to participate. Please include #BirthdayBookChallenge2022 on your posts so that I have a chance to see them all!

Challenges:

  1. Read a book with a friend.
  2. Read a book recommended to you.
  3. Blindfold yourself and pick a book from your TBR.
  4. Read a graphic novel.
  5. Read a book with a purple cover.
  6. Read a book gifted to you.
  7. Read a book with your pet.
  8. Read a book with cake on the cover.
  9. Read an anthology story. (Or the whole thing!)
  10. Read a book from your favorite genre.

This is just completely for fun. Sadly I don’t have the funding to offer a giveaway or anything. I really would love if you joined in anyway. Challenges and readathons are two of my favorite things! It will be like you’re celebrating with me! Don’t forget #BirthdayBookChallenge2022

Reset Did Me Good

I did not intend to take a break as it were. At the end of the day, I’m glad I did. It has really done me well. I’ve been home for three days now. I was kind of in the background. For one, I was trying to finish a book. I just finished it a bit earlier today. For two, a bunch of people at the convention I went to tested positive for covid. Including my partner. So far, I haven’t shown any symptoms. Both tests I took came up negative. I’m still going to go in quarantine mode for the next two weeks to be on the safe side.

This time off has helped me reflect on myself so much. I think getting out of the house and away for a bit has helped as well. Also, I was at a book convention, so I also had some amazing retail therapy. As I do every year. I actually didn’t buy as much this year as I normally did. I wasn’t as impulsive. Here’s a video of my haul:

I do realize there’s still a lot there. My mom decided to gift me some books as well. I’m so thankful for her! I did do something really awesome (to me) when I got home. I sat down and made a list of blogs I want to write and a list of blogs I should write here soon. Here’s the blog topics I’ll be including in my blog currently:

Blog Tours
Cover Reveals
Release Blitzes
Book Reviews
Book Spotlights
TV Show Reviews (By the Season)
Movie Reviews
Any book-related topic I am inspired by
Author/Reader Interviews
Before the book speculations/guesses
Book Tags
Product Reviews
Quote Reactions
Book Rants

I’m pretty sure this list will be added to and edited to a lot as my blog goes on from here. Which is completely fine. The biggest thing I’m trying to do is get out of the rut of routine that I threw myself in. I want my blog to feel more authentic. More me. I’ll still do a post every day, but it will be randomly selected from either something above or anything that strikes my fancy. Some days, there might be more than one blog. It all depends. I do have an author interview coming soon. I sent her over questions and some things I’d like her to send back today. I’m really excited!

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read this. I sincerely hope that you enjoy the changes that you see here in the future.
